In mid-March we went to Vienna, Venice, and surrounding areas. We were in Vienna for about a day, the same with Venice. The picture of the statue is from Vienna. There are lots of horsey statues there. There are also many buildings with horse statues on them. They also have a famed Spanish horse barn-thing there. They really like horses. They also really like coffee. :) We liked the coffee, too. What was a little strange was the fact that we arrived at about 5 on a Saturday night and no one was on the streets by 8. In Barcelona, no one is on the street at 5, but everyone is out at 8 on Saturdays. It was a little weird. They also have dinner at 6. This is no longer normal to us. On Sunday, we took a train through the Alps and arrived in Venice in the evening. People were outside and normalacy returned. We also walked everwhere because no cars are allowed there. We loved Venice because everything was close and it was not austentacious. The canals were nice, but kinda dirty. We spent two mornings there. On the first one, we did more touristy things like check out St. Mark's square. The second morning we went to the residential areas, which were better than the tourist places.
